It has been a time when the archery sport was limited to a few choices of traditional bows. But things changed in 1966 when the compound bow made its first appearance in the archery world by the inventor Holles Wilbur Allen, a bowhunter from Missouri. It is only 3 years later, in 1969, that the patent was granted to the father of the invention of the bow eccentric which changed the face of archery forever.
